More about MPCC’s 21 Week Equipping Cell

Being equipped for ministry

  • An equipping cell is for everyone, ages twelve and upwards, who has already made the decision to follow Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour of their lives.
  • An equipping cell is a small group of 10 people or less who meet together for 21 weeks in order to be equipped to serve Jesus Christ through the ministries of MPCC.
  • Equipping cells meet at various times, daytimes and evenings, and in various places for 1 1/2 hour sessions once each week.
  • Each of the 21 sessions of an equipping cell has its own set of discussion questions and notes or book that are provided for each participant.
  • An equipping cell is divided up into three different parts, which enables a participant to complete the 21 weeks in three different stages if necessary.
  • One reason why our goal is to have everyone go through a 21 week equipping cell is in order to help every believer discover their spiritual gifts and abilities and to see how they can help fulfil the purposes that God intends for them to fulfil.
  • After the first five weeks of Part 1 of the equipping cell, each person has the opportunity to make a commitment to the church family of MPCC, which is also a requirement for those interested in leadership opportunities.
  • After the completion of Part 1 & 2 (the 14th week) of an equipping cell, those whom the Lord has been challenging and preparing for Cell Group facilitator-leadership are equipped to begin that role.
